Welcome to the Grapevine Art Project (GAP)
Mission Statement. The mission of the Grapevine Art Project is to enlist a broad cross section of the community to support the visual arts through programs and events at unique local venues, with the objective of developing a recognized Grapevine regional art destination.
The GAP mission statement was promoted during the years 2009-2010 thanks to the enthusiastic financial support of our business members. Gap issues a special thank you to those contributors and urge all who support the arts in Grapevine to also support these special sponsors:
Bermuda Gold, Big Fish Seafood Grill, Heidi's Salon & Spa, James A Humphrey Gallery, Into the Glass Wine & Texas Cafe, Main Street Bakery & Bistro, Messina's Shoe Repair, Ooh La La Fashions, Re/Max Masters, Barbara Nunn, Tolbert's Restaurant, Weinberger's Delicatessen
GAP is a 501-c non-profit corporation devoted to the visual arts in Grapevine, Texas, and in the North DFW Airport area of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
We are an organization of people in support of the visual arts including appreciators, collectors, educators, patrons and artists and all are welcome. As of February, 2010, our membership numbered slightly over 100 with approximately half of that number member artists. The organization is growing rapidly and has ambitious dreams for the future and concrete plans for this year.
Check this website often for it is constantly being expanded and revised. THANK YOU FOR VISITING!

Friday, July 16th, from 6pm until dark GAP artists braved the summer heat and simultaneously enjoyed the Oak tree shade of Liberty Park in downtown Grapevine during the Historic Downtown Grapevine Association (HDGA) sponsored event which also featured "talent night" at Gazebo Park. Pictured above, Lindsay Dunnagan in the red dress won the "peoples choice" award for her painting of an orchid (painting below).
The highlight of the Thursday, July1st, membership meeting was Michael Mentler's inspiring and motivating drawing demonstration and lecture. GAP members and several visiting artists were enthralled by Mr. Mentler's talent and expertise. More...click on headline.
